Our art and music links to History and we will be studying the artist Edward Ardizzone and listening to music fromt the War years. Our RE question this term is "How do Christians prepare for Christmas?" and we will also be finding out about the Hindu faith through Diwali, asking "Is there one journey or many?" During our PE lessons we will be creating gymnastic sequences as well as completing some outdoor /adventurous activities based on team building. Some of our class will go swimming at Hutton pool. We will be looking at vector drawing during our Computing lessons and thinking about living in the friendships and relationships. Our English lessons will be focussed on a War poetry and a non chronological report based on our Geography topic of renewable energies. Homework will usually be set on a Thursday and should be returned by the following Tuesday. Longer topic type tasks may be set from time to time.
Class Dojo
The school is continuing to use the Class Dojo software as a reward system. Most parents are already signed up from last year but for those who aren't, a letter detailing how to sign up and access the app will be sent home with your child. Once downloaded, you will then be able to see how your child is getting on in class and have access to the message facility where I will post updates about the class.
