Hi everyone! I hope that you are all OK at home. Please keep in touch and let me know how you are getting on. Even if it just to say hi!

**Please just do what work you can and please please don’t worry if you don’t do it all.  I’d rather give you lots to keep you busy than not enough. If you wish to do alternative activities, that is also absolutely fine. Just do what is right for your family situation. Also, if you get stuck or are unsure, please just ask me. **


 Today’s activities are as follows:

  1. Complete Day 30 spelling activity and a grammar on Purple Mash 2Do.
  2. 30 minutes Read Theory – take your time and do not rush. Remember your are aiming for 80% or above.
  3. Below, I have attached another worksheet based on adding and subtracting fractions. We have covered this in school so it will be a useful revision exercise for you. Please complete this if you can. You don’t have to print it off, just record your answers and working out in your green book or do them on the squared paper I gave you and stick them into you green book. The answers for yesterday’s work are there too (on the web page) for you to self-mark and I will post up the answers for today’s work for you next week.
  4. If you have an IDL log in...use it each day and complete the lessons.


Writing – Theme: Robots


Complete or refine your robot creation built yesterday.

Today, you are going to write some information and /or explanation as to how your robot works. This could be in the form of a PowerPoint or video presentation to your family or you could just write/draw about it in your Green book. Remember to include key information, lifting ideas and vocabulary from your diagram or fact file created yesterday. If you are using PowerPoint, you may choose to insert some photographs of your robot.


Computing – Spreadsheets

Go onto Purple Mash. On the 2do, there is Spreadsheet activity for you to do. There is the video to help guide you through it. Have a look around the software and familiarise yourself with how to use it.


Creative Task for yesterday and today –


Although we don’t know when we will be back at school, what I do know is that I want you all to be involved in as many of the Year 6 leavers traditions as we can manage – in some way or another. So, with that in mind. Your task today and tomorrow is to either create a poster (hand drawn or on a computer)

or record a video message of your favourite memories of school. Take the time to plan it carefully. When you have completed them, please send them into me via dojo or email.


Any completed work can be emailed ( or dojo’ed to me.
