Hello and a happy VE day! Today is a bank holiday so I am only setting Maths and Literacy to finish the week off as I know some of you like the routine that the school work brings so this work is optional.
1.Complete the times table to dos on Purple Mash.
2. 'White Rose Hub Home Learning' using this link - https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-4/
Using the link above, watch the video and complete the activity for: WEEK 2 LESSON 5 'DIVIDE 1 OR 2 DIGITS BY 100' (remember, when you divide by 100, your digits move 2 places backwards) NOT the week beginning 4th May as we need to continue with where we were up to last week. The activity and answers are on the white rose website but I have also put the PDF activity and answers below.
Make sure you follow the lessons in order as they follow on from each other so if you not up to week 2 lesson 5, then complete the lesson that you are up to instead.
Our focus for this weeks Literacy home learning is: 'Performance Poetry'.
When following links online, parents should monitor that children are remaining on that page only and are keeping safe online.
1.Read back through your poem created yesterday. Today you are going to learn it and perform it!
2.Learn a section at a time and put some actions to it. You could note down the actions to your poem on your sheet.
Could you dress up? Do you need any props?
3.Perform your poem to people in your house and, if possible, record yourself and email me your performance to: email@example.com
I look forward to seeing you perform your amazing poem! :)
Reading = Please make sure you are reading your book at least 20 minutes daily.
Every Friday, on your 'to do' folder on Purple Mash, I have set a quiz of a random mixture of the Year 3/4 spelling words that you need to know.
1. Please complete the quiz.
2. Write down the correct spelling of any that you get incorrect and learn them using the methods that you can remember from the booklet that we do in school. eg. rainbow colours, pyramids, word search, write them in pictures, draw shapes around them ect.
