This half term we are looking at the 'I' in ASPIRE, which represents INCLUDE alongside our Christian values of Justice and Forgiveness.
“Love each other in the same way I have loved you"- John 15:13
In our class worship, we discussed how unfair it was that some shops and restaurants did not allow guide dogs inside. We talked about how this would make visually impaired people and thought of ways we could help.
We designed posters that we could give to local shops and restaurants to display in their windows to ensure that everyone is welcome and include. We have sent them out to local shops and businesses to encourage them to welcome everyone.
Have you seen any of our posters in the local area?
Remembrance Day 2019
The Foundation inventors have learnt all about Remembrance and that it is a time that we think about the soldiers who gave their lives to fight in the war 101 years ago. We learnt about the poppy and what this symbolises.
The Inventors enjoyed carrying out lots of poppy related activities from painting poppy fields to sewing poppies to create a wreath.
We’ve made a video to show you all of the wonderful learning we have been doing this week.
