This term we are looking at measurement of length, area and perimeter. Then we will start to look at fractions of shape and numbers before finding equivalent fractions.

Use the links below to some websites to help consolidate their Mathematical understanding.

We will also be sitting a National Multiplication Check next June.  They will be tested on all their multiplication facts up to 12 x 12.  This will be on an ipad.  Please practise these several times a week. You can  practise on Purple Mash

Place Value

In Autumn half term, we looked at the place value of numbers, using denes, place value counters and numicon to support our learning and help understanding as we focussed on 4-digit numbers.

## Add and Subtracting multiples of 10, 100 and 1,000

Multiplication and Division

We are currently looking at using what we know about multiplication to multiply a 2-digit or 3-digit number by a 1-digit number. We are using our knowledge of multiplying by 10 and 100 from earlier in the unit to help us.

eg. 50 x 4 = 200

5 x 4 = 20

20 x 10 = 200

600 x 5 =

6 x 5 = 30

30 x 100 = 3,000

We are setting our calculations (eg. 56 x 4) in a grid to help us.
