**Please just do what work you can and please please don’t worry if you don’t do it all. I’d rather give you lots to keep you busy than not enough. If you wish to do alternative activities, that is also absolutely fine. Just do what is right for your family situation. Also, if you become stuck or are unsure, please just ask me. **

  3. Complete one of the grammar activities on Kids Classroom Secrets

Maths  - Below, I have attached a worksheet based on Number to 10 million. We have covered this in school so it will be a useful revision exercise for you.

There is a PowerPoint below with examples to practise first if you wish.

Please complete the worksheet if you can. You don’t have to print it off, just record your answers and working out in your green book or do them on the squared paper I gave you and stick them into you green book. The answers for Friday’s work are below to for you to self-mark and I will post up the answers for today’s work for you tomorrow.

Writing – Theme: Hygiene, Health and Heroes

Note: The clips and reading material today may contain content which is sensitive to your child, given the current climate. It is therefore advised that clips and web pages are watched, read and discussed together with an adult.

Watch and listen to the song: ‘Microorganisms’ by Peter Weatherall – making notes as you watch:

After listening to the song, read this webpage about microorganisms and make notes:

Now watch the short BBC clip: ‘Seeing the bacteria carried on hands’ here:

Imagine that the government have asked you to create a leaflet for children about microorganisms and the importance of washing hands.

Using what you have read and watched today, design a leaflet suitable for children your age.

Make sure your leaflet is informative yet attractive to children by considering what vocabulary you use and thinking carefully about your layout. You may also want to include images/ pictures to present some of the information.

Extra information and ideas for how you may choose to present your leaflet can be found here (Click ‘Get a closer look’ to view the book):

Science – The Dangers of Smoking

Look at the PowerPoint attached below then look at the activity sheet. In your green book, draw the outline of a human body (like in the activity sheet) and label the effects that smoking has on different parts of the body .

RE – Christianity - Life as a Journey (for today and tomorrow)

Map the journey of a significant character from history, a fictional character, a pop star or sporting personality. (Preferably a person of faith.) for example C S Lewis or Usain Bolt. In what ways do their life journeys inspire us?

Any completed work can be emailed ( or dojo’ed to me.

And as always, any questions please just ask.
