Monday 22nd June 2020.

Activities to complete today (if you can):

Click on Week 9, Lesson 1 – Subtracting decimals with the same number of decimal places. Watch the video, do the activity, mark your answers. If you have any questions, or are struggling in some way – please get in contact with myself on Dojo and I will try my best to help you! The questions and answer sheets are on the ‘Attachments’ section of today’s work on our school class page.

(Remember – if this material to too hard for your child at this stage in their development or without the resources they would have access to in school – please do not worry about doing this. You are also welcome to try lower year group work if you feel this would be beneficial. Please contact me if you think this applies to yourself.)

p.s. Please message me to let me know when you have done your maths work – it is nice to see it, as I cannot see it like I could on Purple Mash. Thanks!

Writing Task – This week focuses on how propaganda was used in World War Two and the Blitz. When following links online, parents should monitor that children are remaining on that page only and are keeping safe online.

Find out what propaganda is and how it was used in World War Two by reading and watching these two sources:

Read: DK findout: World War II – Propaganda: h

Watch: BBC KS2 History: How propaganda was used during World War Two:

Now, explore some of the propaganda posters used in World War Two here Imperial War Museums: Second World War Posters:

Task: Imagine you have been asked to create a television advert to accompany one of the posters you have looked at. Choose one of the posters and the message it was giving to the British people, such as the ‘Drink Milk’ or ‘Grow Your Own’. Write a script for an advert which could be aired on the television, promoting the same message. If possible, record your advert too and send it to myself.

Remember, if you are not sure or need any help with anything on here – just contact myself on Dojo.
