Here is your work for Monday.

First Session - Spelling and Grammar

This week we are looking at words that end in the suffix ibly. Please take the next five words ( possibly, responsibly, incredibly, visibly and sensibly ) Learn what they mean and how to spell them. Write each word in a sentence and put it in your exercise book. Click on Spellzone below and do the activities.

 

Today we are learning about Onomatopoeia. Click below. Watch the videos and do activity one and then do activity two. If you want to extend yourself further, do activity three and four.

Second session

The focus this week is World War Two ( Part Two )

Explore what life was like for people in Britain in World War Two. This week focuses on how propaganda was used in World War Two and the Blitz. 

When following links online, parents should monitor that children are remaining on that page only and are keeping safe online.

Day 1

Find out what propaganda is and how it was used in World War Two by reading and watching these two sources:

 

Now, explore some of the propaganda posters used in World War Two here :

Imagine you have been asked to create a television advert to accompany one of the posters you have looked at.

Choose one of the posters and the message it was giving to the British people, such as the ' Drink Milk ' or ' Grow your Own'.

Write a script for an advert which could be aired on the television, promoting the same message. If possible, record your advert too and send it to me to watch.

Session Four

Last week you looked at deserts. Contrast deserts with another biome e.g grasslands (use the following links to create a fact file about grasslands )

Fifth Session

Our RE topic this term is learning about Islam. We are thinking about Should religious teachings affect our laws today ? We are starting by answering some key questions about rules.

Answer the key questions below and write the answers in your exercise book.

1) Where do school rules come from ?

2) Where do we learn how to behave ?

3 ) Why do we have rules ?

4 ) Which of the class / school rules do you like or dislike ?
