Here is your work for today.
First Session - Spelling and Grammar
Please take the next five words off the year 5/6 spelling list ( mischievous, muscle, necessary, neighbour and nuisance ) Learn what they mean and how to spell them. Write each word in a sentence and put it in your exercise book.
Today we are learning about Inverted Commas in grammar. Click below. Watch the videos and do exercise one. If you want to challenge yourself further, you can do exercise two and three also ! please put in your exercise book.
This week our focus is Deadly Creatures
This week we will explore deadly creatures from around the world ( whilst sitting in the comfort of your own home! )
By the end of the week, not only will you know lots about some deadly creatures, you will have also created your own !
When following links online , parents should monitor that children are remaining on that page only and are keeping safe online.
Read the following extract from Deadly Factbook : Mammals ' by Steve Backshall :
Write three sentences to describe each of the five animals you have read about in your exercise book. Try to include some of the descriptive words used in the text such as ' sublime sense of smell ' ( used to describe the polar bear )
Choose your favourite animal that you have read about today and create a fact file about it.

We are going to leave fractions for the moment and hopefully I will be able to teach it to you when we return. We are going to move on to decimals which is our next summer term topic because I think you will find this easier to follow and understand.

6. Play video and do the sheet.
7. You can either put your answers in your book or print off the sheet and write your answers on it.

Fourth Session - Science
Science Objective : To recognise the impact of diet, exercise, drugs and lifestyle on the way bodies function.
Last week we looked at diet and exercise.
Today we are going to look at the effects of alcohol on the body . Please research and complete the 2do ' The effects of Alcohol on the body'
Please remember when working online , parents should monitor what their child is doing and make sure they are keeping safe online.
Fifth Session - Exercise
Go for a walk with an adult and play I Spy ( with my little eye something beginning with ) and give a letter - See how many things you can see. Have fun !
Remember everyone works at different rates . I have given you lots of work. Don't worry if you don't complete everything. Do what you can in the time you have.
