Activities to complete today (if you can):

  • Reading: Spend at least 30 minutes answering reading comprehensions on Read Theory. Link: https://readtheory.org/auth/login?login_error=1

  • Spellings: On Purple Mash, you will find a new spelling quiz to do. Just give it your best go! From tomorrow, you will be doing activities to learn these spellings. You will then retake this quiz later in the week and (hopefully) you will see that you have learned these spellings.

This week - I will be reading to you “The Wooden Horse”. This is a story about the Trojan War. The story is 7 chapters long. I will be reading one chapter a day (so it will begin today and finish a week on Tuesday).

 

The first thing I would like you to do is design an Ancient Greek vase showing one of the scenes from the story so far. In the ‘attachments’ section of today’s work – you will find all you need to know about the vases, as well as templates to show you what the designs should look like. I will also attach photos of the chapter each day as well so that you can reread the story if you need to recap it.
