Hi everyone! I hope that you are all safe and well and had a good holiday weekend. I miss you all and look forward to seeing you all again at some point soon when it is safe for us to do so. 


**Please just do what work you can and please please don’t worry if you don’t do it all. I’d rather give you lots to keep you busy than not enough. If you wish to do alternative activities, that is also absolutely fine. Just do what is right for your family situation. Also, if you become stuck or are unsure, please just ask me. **


 Today’s activities are as follows:

  1. 30 minutes Read Theory – take your time and do not rush. Remember you are aiming for 80% or above.
  2. Complete Day 39 spelling activities on Purple Mash 2Do
  3. Complete one of the grammar activities on Kids Classroom Secrets
  4. If you have an IDL log in...use it each day and complete the lessons.


Maths  - Below, I have attached a worksheet based on converting decimals into fractions. We have covered this in school so it will be a useful revision exercise for you.

Please complete this if you can. You don’t have to print it off, just record your answers and working out in your green book or do them on the squared paper I gave you and stick them into you green book. The answers for Friday’s work are below to for you to self-mark and I will post up the answers for today’s work for you tomorrow.

Read this page: Climate Change in the Arctic. Write down interesting facts as you read in your green book:

Now read the article attached below in Our Frozen Worlds (pages 1-5) and add any more interesting facts you find. Based on what you have learnt about climate change in the Arctic, create a quiz for a family member, adult or teacher to answer.

Try to include a variety of question types including multiple choice and true/false. Remember to proof-read your work to check it makes sense and for spelling and punctuation.

RE – Christianity - Life as a Journey

Think about the following questions are record your thoughts into your green book.

  • What is a journey?
  • In general, what does it mean to go on a journey?
  • Why do we go on journeys?
  • Where do we go on a journey?

Think about purpose, motivation, preparation and resources needed.

When does a journey begin and end?

Journeys can be short or long, exciting or routine, a mystery or clearly planned.

Write about a time that you experienced going on a journey. What happened? Where did you go? For what reason did you travel? Again, think about purpose, motivation, preparation and resources needed too.
