Activities to complete today (if you can):

  • Reading: Spend at least 30 minutes answering reading comprehensions on Read Theory. Link:
  • Reading: Spend at least 30 minutes reading a book of your choice. If possible, adults to ask questions about the book after they have finished reading. Link to possible questions you could ask:
  • Spellings: On Purple Mash, I have set you a spelling test to do. Try your best with it and write down your score after you have completed it. You will be retrying this again on Thursday, once you have practised these spellings – to see if you can improve your score.
  • Maths: Use the link below: 


Click on Week 7, Lesson 1 – Decimals as fractions. Watch the video, do the activity, mark your answers. If you have any questions, or are struggling in some way – please get in contact with myself on Dojo and I will try my best to help you! The questions and answer sheets are on the ‘Attachments’ section of today’s work on our school class page.


(Remember – if this material to too hard for your child at this stage in their development or without the resources they would have access to in school – please do not worry about doing this. You are also welcome to try lower year group work if you feel this would be beneficial. Please contact me if you think this applies to yourself.)

Writing Task – This week, given our current climate, we are going to focus on health, microbes and the NHS.

You task - Imagine that the government have asked you to create a leaflet for children about microorganisms and the importance of washing hands. Using what you have read and watched today, design a leaflet suitable for children your age. Make sure your leaflet is informative yet attractive to children by considering what vocabulary you use and thinking carefully about your layout. You may also want to include images/pictures to present some of the information.
