We have been thinking about how to deal with money and the challenges that it faces with the help of Debt Awareness: Money Matters.
During Anti-Bullying Week, we read this book.....
It provoked lots of discussion surrounding equality and how we treat people. The children felt really strongly about the themes and messages from the book. We all agreed that the world would be a much nicer place if everyone was a little bit kinder to each other.
We also embraced the election fever and our school's eco council launched their own election. The children were able to vote for either 'Walk to School Wednesday' (where no cars will be permitted to park near school and children and their parents will have to walk to school) or 'Fun Food Friday' where food such as chocolate, crisps etc can only be brought to school on a Friday to help keep us healthy and to help reduce the amount of single-use plastic that is brought into school.
