Religious Education

We have selected Christian Aid as the charity we are going to support this year.

In RE we have learnt about Harvest and learning about how Harvest is celebrated in other countries. We have also looked at the Jewish festival of Sukkot.

We have learnt about Jesus’ world and compared it to our world completing different activities and tasks to note how Jesus’ world is different to ours.

Journey to Bethlehem

In Religious Education, we learnt about the Journey to Bethlehem. We read the Christmas story and performed the story as our Christmas show.

We have made Christmas cards for our families.

We celebrated Christingle and each made one for worship. The red ribbon represents Christ's blood, the orange represents the world, the sweets represent the four seasons and the candle to represent Jesus.

We are learning about Judaism. We have made promises to God to show we are following in his footsteps like when he made a promise to Noah.

We have also made Sukkah's to show how Jewish people celebrate the festival Sukkot.

We made our own Sukkah’s out of shoe boxes and duplo, take a look!

A Jewish lady (Amy) came in to speak to us about Judaism. She brought with her lots of special objects that we talked about and even tried on.
