Thursday 23rd April

In case you have lost track of days...it is Thursday!

How are you all?  I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather we have been having! I think lockdown would have been a lot worse if it had rained everyday.

Hopefully you are back in the home learning routine now...don't worry if some days are better than others... we all have days like that.

Todos are set on purple mash. Keep  working on the TT rocksta

Reading - Read your book for at least 15 minutes and chat about it with a grown up.

Spelling - Speed writing like we do in class - 30 seconds per word for the words you chose this week.

English - Discuss the film clip together.  What happened?  What did Mrs Twit do? Why?  What would you have done?  How did Mr Twit react? How would you have reacted?
Write the story of Mr and Mrs Twit and the Spaghetti in your own words.
Check spelling and punctuation in each sentence together.

Maths - White Rose Maths

Year 3 - Week 2 day 1 Fractions on a numberline ( we have done some of this in class)

Year 4 -  Tenths on a number line

Computing - We are going to start thinking about email.  Today we are going to look at communication generally.  There is a purple mash to do set.  If you click and edit where it says method you can choose a way of communicating (e.g face to face conversation. Then you can think of the advantages (tone of voice, can clear up misunderstadnings straight away) and disadvantages (have to be in the same place at the same time, people may be shy). Complete this for the different methods of communicating ... you might use telephone calls/ video calls/ sign language/ body language/ email/ letter)  How do you think communication has changed over the years... people used to send messages with pigeons!)

PE - Use either Joe Wicks or the link below to the Lancashire games.

Art - Rob Biddulph  Draw penguin Blue.
