Tuesday 14th July

Good morning everyone

I hope you managed to complete some of the work I set yesterday. Keep going, only a few more days to go!

Reading - Read for 20 minutes - let me know what you are reading- I am always on the lookout for great books.

Spelling - Use the words we looked at yesterday and see what new word you can create. For example,

appear appeared appearing disappear disappeared disappearing

Are there any other words on our word list that you can do this for?

English

We are going to carry on reflecting about our school year.  Obviously, we have not spent as much time together as we should and you guys have all been doing a great job with learning from home since March.  Today, I would like you to think about your lockdown memories.  What has been the best thing about lockdown?  What have you not enjoyed?  What has been your favourite lesson during lockdown?  Have you spent time learning a new skill?

For me, I have loved spending more time with my children and not dashing in from work, ready to take them to football/netball/dance and then straight to bed!  I have really enjoyed reading your English work, seeing your drawings and hearing what you have got up to with your families. I have not enjoyed the constant demand for snacks from Harrison and Jessica!!

Maths

Year 3 - Recognise 2D shapes

Year 4 - Compare and Order angles

History

We have been learning about the Vikings.  Can you create a non chronolgicial report to  draw all your learning together - Remember to use subheadings for each paragraph and pictures.  You could write about where they had come from, what they wore, famous vikings, how they travelled.
