Hello Year 3/4
I hope you all managed to complete some of the work I set yesterday...As always, don't worry if you don't get through everything...I would rather give you lots to choose from rather than not enough and you get bored.
I have set some to dos on Purple Mash... try to complete these. Remember, if it doesn't turn green you can do it as much as you want... this is a great idea, especially if it's times tables or typing practice! Keep reading your own books too....let me know what you are reading!
Read you book for at least 15 minutes... remember there are lots of free books to read online via kindle or audible.
Spelling - Use the words you chose yesterday and find out their meanings...use them in a sentence. Try to make your sentences as interesting as possible
We are going to carry on looking at the Twits today.
Re read the chapter about Dirty Beards and Mr Twit. Print this if you can so your child can use a highlighter pen.
Highlight all the information you read about Mr Twit.
Now create a fact file, poster or Top Trumps card about Mr Twit using the information you have read.
Check spelling and punctuation in each sentence together.
We are going to carry on our learning from White Rose Hub
Year 3 week 1, lesson 4.
Year 4 - Week 1 Lesson 2
Please follow the links below. USE WEEK 1.....NOT THE WEEK BEGINNING 20TH APRIL. As we didn't do this before half term we need to fill gaps.
We are going to start a new topic about The Vikings. Our theme this year has been invaders and settlers. The vikings invaded Britain after the Anglo Saxons. Remember that England was made up of different anglo saxon kingdoms at that time. Look at the powerpoint I have attached. Use the time line cards (most of you could use the one with 2 stars on it.... Year 4 could try the 3 stars and if you need something simpler use 1 star). Fill in any missing information and put them in order that events happened.
Rob Biddulph art - Today we will watch the world book day bookmarks... Rob makes NHS ones....they look great!
Go and get active with Joe Wicks. Go for a walk in the (hopefully) sunny weather....what sounds can you hear?
