Tuesday 28th April

Hello Year 3/4

I hope you all managed to complete some of the work I set yesterday...As always, don't worry if you don't get through everything...I would rather give you lots to choose from rather than not enough and you get bored.  Remember to make sure you spreadnyour work out and have time away from screens.

I have set some to dos on Purple Mash... try to complete these.  Remember, if it doesn't turn green you can do it as much as you want... this is a great idea, especially if it's times tables or typing practice!  Keep reading your own books too....let me know what you are reading!

Read you book for at least 15 minutes... remember there are lots of free books to read online via EPIC or the library service.

Spelling -  Use the words you chose yesterday and find out their meanings...use them in a sentence. Try to make your sentences as interesting as possible

  • Watch the song about eggs. Discuss together which type of eggs you like to eat? Write a few sentences about each type of egg and say why you like/don’t like them, e.g. I adore scrambled eggs because… I don’t like fried eggs because… I love boiled eggs because ... I’m not keen on poached eggs because… Check each sentence for spelling and punctuation together.
  • Now watch this clip of Matilda making pancakes:  Write sentences around what you like to eat on your pancakes e.g. syrup, lemon, sugar, orange etc. Check each sentence for spelling and punctuation together.
  • You could make some pancakes or eggs for lunch after this! Adult supervision required.

We are going to carry on our learning from White Rose Hub

Year 3 week 2, lesson 4.  - Fractions of a set of objects

Year 4 - Week 2 Lesson 2 = Hundredths

Please follow the links below. USE WEEK 2.....NOT THE WEEK BEGINNING 27TH APRIL.  As we didn't do this before half term we need to fill gaps.

This week we are going to be thinking about how travels.  Have a look through the powerpoint I have attached and watch the video clip on it.  This is a bit tricky to understand - it is all about vibrations travelling through the air.  Pre tend you are a TV  presenter and explain to a memberof your family how the sound travels.  You may want to use diagrams to help you

Rob Biddulph art - Have a go at drawing Nancy today. Don't forget to send me your pictures
