Hello Year 3/4
I hope you all managed to complete some of the work I set yesterday...As always, don't worry if you don't get through everything...I would rather give you lots to choose from rather than not enough and you get bored. Remember to make sure you spread your work out and have time away from screens.
I have set some to dos on Purple Mash... try to complete these. Remember, if it doesn't turn green you can do it as much as you want... this is a great idea, especially if it's times tables or typing practice! Keep reading your own books too....let me know what you are reading!
Read you book for at least 15 minutes... remember there are lots of free books to read online via EPIC or the library service.
Spelling - Use the words you chose yesterday and find out their meanings...use them in a sentence. Try to make your sentences as interesting as possible

This week marks 75 years since VE day. This was the end of the War in Europe where many people had street parties and celebrated that the conflict was drawing to a close. There were great plans for this to be celebrated on Friday with a series of National Events but these were cancelled due to our current situation.
I have set a Todo on Purple Mash. You need to write a Newspaper article discussing VE day. Type in the boxes, remember to include what was happening, when, where and maybe even some quotes from people who were celebrating. You can add clip art pictures too.
Make some bunting for VE day... I have attached a template for you to print and colourl
