I would like you to start the day reading the next edition of First News.

First Session - Spelling and Grammar
Please take the next five words off the year 5/6 spelling list ( shoulder, signature, sincerely, soldier and stomach ) Learn what they mean and how to spell them. Write each word in a sentence and put it in your exercise book.
Today we are learning about prepositions in grammar. First of all remind yourself about noun phrases and then watch the two videos on prepositions and do activity one and two. If you want to challenge yourself further , you can do activity three. Please put in your exercise book.

Now read and enjoy Chapter 2 and 3 of Danny the Champion of the world. ' The Big Friendly Giant ' and ' Cars and kites and Fire Balloons' :
Please note that it is advised that parents read Chapter 3 together with their child , in order that they can talk about the personal and environmental dangers of fire balloons / sky lanterns.
Create a character profile for Danny's dad making sure you use words and phrases from the text.

Watch the video and pick two of the activities. If you have one of the games, you might like to play it . Otherwise you might do the orienteering , the history object or the geography quiz. Enjoy ! Write any answers in your book.
Create a tune on your brass instrument and send me a picture of you playing it.
