Wednesday 20th May

Hello everyone...Happy Wednesday!

Well done on everything you have been doing this week.  It is great to be getting your pictures, writing and Maths.  I really enjoy seeing what you have all got up to.

As always there are some todos on purple mash.

Reading - Read your book for at least 15 minutes and talk about it to a grown up. Let me know what you are reading so we can share reviews

Spelling - Using the 10 words you have chosen for this week create a wordsearch or crossword puzzle with them.

English -

I am VERY excited about English for the next few days... the cartoon that we are going to watch was on TV when I was a little bit older than you - I bet some of your parents will remember it and be able  to sing the theme tune!

Watch and enjoy The Shoe People episode Can You Keep a Secret?

Write down the names of the different shoe people in the film that you meet, where they live, and describe their houses, e.g.  Chorley the clown lives in a … house. It has…  It is…
Remember to use capital letters for the names of the characters and describe each house using interesting words (adjectives).

Watch a couple more episodes of the shoe people to prepare for tomorrow's lesson.  I have attached them at the bottom of the page.

Maths - White Rose Hub Summer Week 3 Lesson 3 ( wk begin 4th May)

Year 3 subtracting money

Year 4 - dividing 2 digit by 1 digit numbers

RE -

  • As our Muslim families prepare to celebrate Eid, I would llike you to find our a little bit about their celebrations.  Why do you think they celebrate the end of fasting? There are some video clips and a quiz on the BBC website. Design a poster to shoe the ways Muslims celebrate this festival. If you are celebrating, let others know how.

PE - Work out with Joe Wicks or follow the Lancashire Stay Home Work Out schedule.

Play the dots and boxes game with members of your family.... all you need is paper and pencil.  It is one if our favourite games for when we are on holiday!
