  • Spellings: On Purple Mash, I have set you a spelling test to do. Try your best with it and write down your score after you have completed it. You will be retrying this again on Thursday, once you have practised these spellings – to see if you can improve your score.
  • Maths: Use the link below:

Click on Week 6, Lesson 1 – Multiply unit and non-unit fractions by integers. Watch the video, do the activity, mark your answers. If you have any questions, or are struggling in some way – please get in contact with myself on Dojo and I will try my best to help you! The questions and answer sheets are on the ‘Attachments’ section of today’s work on our school class page.

(Remember – if this material to too hard for your child at this stage in their development or without the resources they would have access to in school – please do not worry about doing this. You are also welcome to try lower year group work if you feel this would be beneficial. Please contact me if you think this applies to yourself.)

p.s. Please message me to let me know when you have done your maths work – it is nice to see it, as I cannot see it like I could on Purple Mash. Thanks!

Writing Task – This week we are continuing to focus on the infamous voyage of the Titanic that we looked at last week.

Please watch the ‘Sinking of the Titanic’ – only up to 6:30 minutes. Please find the link here:

Write down key facts about the sinking as you watch.

Your task: Imagine you are a news reporter in 1912 and you have just received the information that Titanic has sunk. Write a news report explaining to your readers the events of the tragedy. Once you have written your news report, if possible, you may wish to film your report as if it is aired on BBC news. An example of a completed news report can be found here: The Sinking of the Titanic – Breaking News Report Remember to read back through your work and check your spelling and punctuation.

I have put some documents to help you write your newspaper report in the ‘Attachments’ folder on our school website.

RE – Sunday that has just gone was WhitSun, the day where the Holy Spirit came down from Heaven to the Apostles. Please read the first page of the document called ‘Off the shelf Pentecost’. Please read the first page and answer the question on the left-hand side of the page.

Remember, if you are not sure or need any help with anything on here – just contact myself on Dojo.
