Wednesday 6th May

Hello everyone...Happy Wednesday!

Well done on everything you have been doing this week.  It is great to be getting your pictures, writing and Maths.  I really enjoy seeing what you have all got up to.

As always there are some todos on purple mash.  Have a go on TT rockstars too... lets see if we can top the school leaderboard!  That would be super impressive!  Did you know that you can challenge a friend...if I look and see you on there, I might challenge you.

Reading - Read your book for at least 5 minutes and talk about it to a grown up. Let me know what you are reading so we can share reviews

Spelling - Using the 10 words you have chosen for this week create a wordsearch or crossword puzzle with them.

English -

Read or listen to chapter 3 of Flat Stanley Stanley the Kite(7.43 - 13.49 mins on the video)  After reading, watch the clip from Mary Poppins about flying a kite. (link below)  Read and singalong together for fun! Spot any new vocabulary in the song and discuss/explore together. Write new words discussed within sentences about a kite.

Now, design your own Flat Stanley kite.  Draw and label it.  Make it if you have the materials available and fly it outside!

Maths - White Rose Hub

Year 3 Slightly different today as I am trying to get us back onto working our way through a week on WhiteRose Hub.  Use the challenge cards below for work on equivalent fractions...1 star are the easiest set thrugh to 3 stars for the trickiest set.

Year 4 - White Rose Hub Summer week 1 (April 20th)- Day 3 Compare decimals

RE - Muslims are in the month of Ramadan at the minute which means they are fasting during daylight hours. Re watch the BBC link and talk to your family about how fastIng during Ramadan make Muslims more appreciative of their usual food and drink. You could email or call a Muslim friend to ask them what they think.

PSHE - As part of our VE celebrations we are being asked to put a Tommy in our windows. This is the silouette image of a soldier.  Can you design a picture of a Tommy for your window. I have included a link to the Royal British Legion to show you their design.

Family Challenge - Use Justdance on You tube and have a dance off to your favourite dances
