Trips to Hoghton Tower and Burnley Youth Theatre

The week before Easter, our Upper Junior pupils visited Hoghton Tower to learn about Tudor life. It is the ancestral home of the de Hoghtons and is believed to have been built in 1565. The children had a brilliant day out where they learned about the history of the house, explored the historical banqueting hall and passages and walked around the extensive grounds.

Our Year 3/4 pupils visited Burnley Youth Theatre to participate in a drama workshop with a class from Ormskirk West End Primary School as part of a link to partner schools in different locations in Lancashire. This initiative was organised by Lancashire County Council and we were delighted to take part in the project. The children had an amazing day out and made lots of new friends.
