Our School and Location
Our school has a 26 place nursery and accommodation for up to 315 pupils. We have a purpose built ICT suite and extensive grounds for pupils to carry out environmental studies.
Our community is warm, welcoming and vibrant. We are one of the few schools in Lancashire with a truly mixed and diverse catchment and this enriches the spiritual, moral and social development of the children. We have strong links with St. Stephen's Church and our Vicar or Curate visit school each Monday to lead worship. We also have links with other faith groups in the area, particularly the main groups represented in school. For example, the Hindu community work closely with us and we link to celebrate festivals. Our Muslim community also help with religious education lessons and enrich our learning about Ramadan and Eid-ul Fitr. We also visit the local Sikh Gurdwara as part of R.E. education.
Our staff are warm and friendly. They are committed to helping children achieve their very best and this was observed in the last Ofsted inspection in 2014 and in our Church Inspection (Siams) of 2020.
